We are able to deliver weddings in The University of Manchester’s most historic and iconic venues. Our team covers a range of venues, including Christie’s Bistro, Whitworth Hall, Whitworth Council Chamber, and Manchester Museum.
Our venues can accommodate anything from an intimate wedding ceremony, through to a large evening celebration with your family and friends. Whilst each venue has a different look and feel, all are situated within our iconic Grade II listed building which provides a beautiful backdrop to your special day.

Adam & Charlotte were a delight to be in communications with from start to finish. During the planning, they were always so clear and organised, which kept us relaxed and assured through the whole journey. They had a tried and tested schedule for the day so the guests & the good vibes flowed smoothly from each location. And had so much advice from previous weddings, it made planning a breeze. Charlotte and Adam were always quick to respond to any questions we had, and accommodated all our requests and helped make our day as bespoke to us as possible.
The wedding day went without a hitch, it was evident that Adam, Charlotte and all the staff involved, were working so hard and to a top tier standard. They all moved with friendly professionalism and grace, like swans, they were paddling so hard underwater, but never let it show.
We cannot thank you all enough for the hard work everyone put in. It was so greatly appreciated and honestly you made it the most perfect day for us.

From start to finish our experience getting married at the University of Manchester was fantastic. The team were very responsive throughout the planning process and accommodating with regards to decor and deliveries leading up to the day. Charlotte in particular was a star ensuring that details were ironed out in the lead up to the wedding and that things ran perfectly on the day. The venue is amazing and our guests, were blown away by how beautiful it was and how well suited each part of the venue was to different elements of the day. Could not recommend this venue highly enough. Thank you Charlotte and Adam for making our day stress free and so so enjoyable!

Thank you Charlotte for all your effort leading up to, and during the evening. All our guests had a wonderful time, and haven’t held back in telling us so. After you’d gone Adam and Lowell were as considerate and attentive as you had been, as I’m sure you would have expected from them. The museum is a magical place and we could see the guests gradually succumbing to the magic. However, that wouldn’t have been enough without the serving staff being so capable and attentive, and without all of your consideration in planning and coordinating. The whole evening went brilliantly and exactly almost as we had planned with you. The guests enjoyed the food very much, and were clearly well supplied with refreshment throughout the evening.
Linda and I had a wonderful time, and an evening we will never forget for all sorts of reasons. Your efforts before and during really allowed us both to be comparatively relaxed by the time the evening actually came along. Thank you for supporting us through the process with such charm, and for foreseeing and avoiding pitfalls with such kindness and good grace.

Christie’s Bistro - 21/05/2023
From our first meeting with the Events team to the days afterwards we really couldn't of asked for more. The venue is absolutely stunning, the food was fantastic all our guests raved about the beef and the sticky toffee pudding! The staff we all so friendly and looked after all our guests amazingly. Nothing was too much trouble for the team they really were superb and so well organised. We cannot recommend the venue and team enough, if you are considering it as a potential venue DO IT! You won't be disappointed. Thanks for everything!

Manchester Museum – 06/05/2023
After having to postpone our wedding for several years due to Covid and the museum refurbishments, we can definitely say that the wait was worth it!
Charlotte was absolutely fantastic and was always at the end of the phone/email if we needed her during the planning process, and helped make sure the day went by without a hitch!
The museum itself is the most amazing setting for such an important day, and after having one of our first dates at the museum, many years ago, we couldn't have pictured getting married anywhere else.
